Comedy Night at The Opera at the Red Top Motor Inn - Iron Bridge, Ontario

The Red Top Motor Inn in Iron Bridge, Ontario is proud to welcome back Kyra Millan and for her first visit JessiLinn Davies in their new hilarious Comedy Night at The Opera, a comic voyage through classical and modern songs preceded by a springtime gourmet dinner on May 28 and 29 at 6:30 p.m.

Coloratura soprano, Kyra Millan will sing show stoppers from famous operas while improv actor/ comedienne JessiLinn will have you laughing with the myths and magnificence of opera, and other tales from the rich history of on stage and backstage anecdotes.

Come prepared to laugh, sing and possibly join Kyra on stage!

Accompanied by Claire Hoeffler at the piano, Kyra will sing the always happy and funny Glitter And Be Gay (Candide, Bernstein), The Doll Song (Tales of Hofmann, Offenbach), Vedrai Carino (Don Giovanni, Mozart), I Want To Be A Prima Donna (The Enchantress, Victor Herbert / Harry B. Smith), and many more.

Coloratura soprano Kyra Millan works on both stage and film and has performed with the Toronto Sinfonietta, Calyx Concert Series, the Northumberland Orchestra, the Georgetown Bach Chorale.

She played the role of Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos for Summer Opera Lyric Theatre and was featured as a headliner in Harbourfront‘s sold-out run of ,em>Das Spiegeltent at the Luminato Festival in 2007. 

Most recently, she had her debut with Opera Kitchener, in Hansel and Gretel.

Kyra is also a much sought after singing teacher coaching actors such as Obie and Dora award winner Ronnie Burkett and Mark McKinney of Kids in the Hall. 

She coached Warner Brother's touring casts of Scooby Doo live show in the UK, and the USA.

Closer to home she works with Toronto's renowned Orpheus Choir.

In the last seven years, Kyra has really enjoyed participating in creating and leading many of the education workshops for the Canadian Opera Company, and most recently, running a ten-week singing workshop for CAMH's outpatients for Workman Arts.

Jessi Linn Davies is an improviser and drama educator based in Toronto.

A founding member of Kingston Improv, she performed weekly with the performance troupe for two years while training high school improv teams in eastern Ontario.

She now works with the youth programming at Toronto's Bad Dog Improv Theatre, performing with and teaching young people in classes from London to Sudbury.

She works with some of Toronto's best professional performing arts companies including The Canadian Opera Company, Opera Atelier, Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People, Theatre Direct and the Canadian Stage.

Jessi Linn is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, the Professional Arts Organizations Network for Educators, and Catapult Co-op.
