The following was received by SooToday.com way, way, way too early on Saturday morning.
It's from Art Pruce, a former Goulaigan now living in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Hey Dave!!
How ya' doing and how's life these days in the good old Soo?
I'd like to thank you for SooToday.com - it's a great way for me to have a look back home to see what's going on.
I also want to let you know about my debut CD Wish I Could Go
It's just been released this month, and you'll be receiving a copy shortly in the mail.
I'm confident you will enjoy it.
I spent 15 months recording with one of Canada's top producers, Tom McKillip.
It was done in Vancouver at The Warehouse studio, The Armoury and MR&D recording studios.
Through the process, and to my surprise, this past weekend I was honored with a nomination for the 2006 BC Country Music Association's Ray Macauly Horizon Award - even before the album was released!
I also attended the Canadian Country Music Awards in Saint John, New Brunswick from September 8 to 11.
From there I toured PEI, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland doing radio interviews and intimate acoustic gigs.
It was a trip of a lifetime.
Let's Shine is the first release to radio off of the CD and it's getting airplay in the Maritimes, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and B.C.
I hope everyone in the Soo will be able to hear Let's Shine on Q104 FM soon.
I'm planning to do a radio tour of Ontario this Spring - hope to see ya' then.
My website, ArtPruce.com, was also nominated for an award this past weekend - check it out and if any of my old friends want to drop me a line I'd love to hear from them!
Talk to ya soon,
Art
