Here's where you can get your Bon Soo buttons

Souvenir buttons or new jacket tag-style passes available

As winter ramps up, passes are now available for the upcoming 61st annual Bon Soo Winter Carnival which happens from Feb. 2 - 10.

Traditional souvenir buttons are available for $10, or new jacket tag-style passes can be purchased for $8. Both options admit holders into Bon Soo events.

This year's carnival includes a number of old favourites, like bum slides and the polar bear swim, as well as newer events like the Polar Rush Urban Winter Obstacle Course and the Fire and Ice Hot Sauce Challenge.

Passes are now on sale for the Bon Soo Winter Carnival, back for its 61st year of winter fun!

Presented by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), the Bon Soo Winter Carnival takes place from Feb. 2 - 10, 2024, and promises fun for the whole family.

This year’s program will span multiple downtown locations, including the Machine Shop, Northern Superior Brewery and the downtown plaza.

It will also include well-known favourites, like the fireworks show, the bum slides and the famous Polar Bear Plunge, while also bringing back popular events introduced last year like the Polar Rush Urban Winter Obstacle Course, professional snow sculptures, EDM Sno Bath, and the Fire and Ice Hot Sauce Challenge.

Headlining this year's winter carnival is award-winning Canadian country music star Brett Kissel live in concert at the Machine Shop on Feb. 7. Tickets can be purchased here. https://www.showpass.com/brettkissel/

This year, Bon Soo organizers are pleased to offer a more affordable, tag-style pass for $8 each, in addition to the $10 Bon Soo Winter Carnival souvenir buttons, which will be available while supplies last. Both buttons and tags get you access to the carnival!

Passes are now available at the following locations between Dec. 18, 2023 and Feb. 10, 2024:
    •    Outfitters - 87 Huron St.
    •    Northern Superior Tap Room - 50 Pim St.
    •    Great Lakes Outfitters - 162 Old Garden River Rd.
    •    Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site - 800 Bay St. (Closed Dec. 25 - Jan. 1)
    •    Ontario Travel Information Centre - 261 Queen St. W.
    •    John Rhodes Community Centre - 260 Elizabeth St.
    •    Northern Community Centre - 556 Goulais Ave.
