NORTH BAY - This Friday, North Bay’s David Dino White brings his ‘Hair of the Dog’ Release Tour to the Soo at Loplops alongside local openers Frank, Jay and Cliff.

White’s new 5-track EP, Hair of the Dog, explores intimacy, self-doubt, addiction and the fear of failure on a record that runs the gamut of musical styles from The Darkness-inspired lead single “Hold Me” to the mellow ebb and flow of the record closer, “Reach.”

Joining White for the show is bassist and Sault native Andrew Sowka (Kalle Mattson) and drummer Ben Leggett who also produced ‘Hair.’ Leggett was nominated for a Juno in 2012 for his production work on Craig Cardiff’s breakthrough record ‘Floods and Fires.’

Hair of the Dog comes on the heels of White’s debut LP Alone Together which saw the band tour across Ontario, playing some the province’s best festivals, including UP HERE, River & Sky, Windsong and North Bay’s Summer in the Park.

The 5-song EP was co-funded by FACTOR, produced by JUNO-nominee Ben Leggett (2012’s Floods and Fires) and mastered by Noah Mintz of Lacquer Channel Mastering & Siegfried Meier of Beach Road Mastering.

David Dino White’s ‘Hair of the Dog’ is streaming now at http://daviddinowhite.bandcamp.com/.

Tickets to Friday’s show are available at https://loplops.com/events/ for $5.
