The 5-km Colour Run is among several events taking place during the Community Strong Race Weekend; annual fundraiser supports the Algoma Family Services Foundation

Their T-shirts definitely aren't white anymore.

Dozens of participants in this year's 5-km Colour Run at the Community Strong Race Weekend were doused in powdered paint as they trekked along the hub trail, waterfront and Canal District on Saturday.

Several paint-throwing stations were set up along the run, including the first one near the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre where SooToday captured all sorts of colours flying.

Supporting the Algoma Family Services Foundation, the race weekend features a busy lineup of events, including a 1-km Kids Fun Run, 10-km run, half-marathon, and a Boston qualifying marathon.

This past April, local runner Andy Haidar ran the Boston Marathon after qualifying on the CSRW course in June 2023.
