GALLERY: Sci-fi, fantasy fans make it real at NerdCon

Over 40 vendors sold artwork, dolls, stuffed animals, jewellery, sci-fi and fantasy figures, video games and equipment, clothing, comic books and food at Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre

Science fiction and fantasy fans, many of them wearing imaginative costumes, masks and makeup, filled the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre ballroom for this year’s Steel City NerdCon on Saturday.

Over 40 vendors were on hand selling artwork, dolls, stuffed animals, jewellery, sci-fi and fantasy figures of characters such as Darth Vader and King Kong, video games and equipment, clothing, comic books and food.

Hosted by Michael Turcotte, owner of Vintage Games ‘N Junque, the event ran from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with VIP ticket holders allowed to enter at 11:30 a.m.
