GALLERY: Churches come together for evening of worship around the Cross

'A Thousand Voices at the Cross' was first held in 2018 and is presented annually by CJTK 106.5 FM

A large group of Christian worshippers from several local churches came together Saturday for the annual "A Thousand Voices at the Cross" event.

Gathered at the Sault’s landmark 120-foot Cross on the Hill at 250 St. Georges Ave. E., the audience enjoyed prayer, singing along to music from several Christian singers, and listening to pastors deliver inspirational messages of hope.

The event began at 7 p.m. and continued until 9 p.m.

Musical performers included Bill Webb, Jaelyn Slagel, Alder Devries, Armando Ramdass, Brennen Slagel, Jeffrey Jonusaitis and Clinton Moody.

Pastors included Gabriel Araba of United Baptist Church and Meredith Broughton of Lifespring Church.

The free event was first held in 2018 and is presented each year by Christian radio station CJTK 106.5 FM.
