Fun meets education at second annual Touch-a-Truck

All funds raised from the interactive event will go towards Habitat for Humanity’s Affordable Homeownership Program

The Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre was lively on Saturday as Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie welcomed hundreds of locals to their 2nd annual Touch-a-Truck fundraiser.

The interactive event allowed children of all ages to get up close and personal with a variety of trucks and vehicles, including firetrucks, police cruisers, construction equipment, and more.

Attendees also had the chance to learn about each vehicle from the drivers themselves.

Entry to the event was by donation. All proceeds raised will go towards Habitat for Humanity’s Affordable Homeownership Program, which provides opportunities for working families and individuals to purchase their own home.
