Friends, family and fans are invited to join MD Dunn at the Water Tower Pub on Friday, June 10 to celebrate the release of his latest release, Solace.
The 12-song album, co-produced by Rusty McCarthy, is currently available on iTunes, BandCamp, Indie Pool, and at The Rad Zone.
Part of the Sault Ste. Marie music scene for more than 20 years, Dunn is a writer and poet on top of being a musician.
He currently has three books of poetry - Ghost Music, Fancy Clapping, and Even the Weapons.
“The disciplines kind of pick me. It’s sort of dependant on time and what’s happening at that time,” Dunn said during a recent episode of Tuned. “Sometimes I’ll have a lot of lyrics that I know I’m not going to sing them and they probably look better on the page, so I know that will probably be a poem. Other times there’s more a musical thing happening. I can’t really explain it beyond that. It’s just sot of a different energy, a different sense to the piece that I’m that I’m picking up.”
