Between the two, they hold 14 Canadian Country Music Awards and three Juno Awards thanks to material from their combined nine studio albums. And for the first time ever, Dean Brody and Dallas Smith are on tour together.
The Friends Don’t Let Friends Tour Alone Tour kicked off tonight in Sault Ste. Marie at the GFL Memorial Gardens to a relatively modest but happily-clad-in-buffalo-plaid crowd. It was the only show in recent memory hosted at the arena to offer general admission, allowing local Canadian country music fans the chance to shake what their mamas gave ‘em without scrutiny.
The dynamic duo’s Friends Don’t Let Friends Tour Alone Tour continues with a number of Ontario stops, including those in Timmins, St. Catharines, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, London and Ottawa. For more information, visit Dean Brody here or Dallas Smith here.
Upcoming events at the GFL Memorial Gardens include the Soo Greyhounds season opener this Friday; the Rock the Rink Tour featuring Tessa Virtue, Scott Moir and Patrick Chan on October 29; and The Offspring and Sum 41 on November 19. For ticket information, click here.
