RICHARDS LANDING - The date for the second annual Go North Music Festival has been set for Saturday, July 14, 2018. The one-day music festival and campground will once again be held at the Centennial Grounds in Richards Landing on St. Joseph Island, the site of the former Cornfest.

The Township of St. Joseph Events Committee received very positive feedback about the 2017 inaugural festival with concert-goers wanting to see the event continue and grow. Festival organizers are committed to getting even better in 2018 and have put more resources behind this year’s event which will continue to feature local products, great food and drinks and excellent live music.

The Richards Landing Centennial Grounds is the perfect location for an outdoor festival, with its beautiful timber-frame Go North stage, food, beverage and concession booths and plenty of room for on-site parking and camping. Returning this year will be the popular Go North Marketplace providing an opportunity for local artisans to feature their works as well as the campground with its camp stage and the Kids’ Zone activities and stage. Any vendors, producers, supporters and sponsors should contact the Township of St. Joseph if they would like to get involved.

The events committee is putting the finishing touches on the 2018 line-up which will be announced March 15 with online and local ticket sales commencing at that time.

The Township of St. Joseph Events Committee’s goal is to bring original, live music to St. Joseph Island for the enjoyment of music lovers from the Sault Ste. Marie and central Algoma area. The Committee has established the successful Just Passin’ Through Concert Series at the historic Richards Landing Old Town Hall and Centennial Grounds.
