Sault Ste. Marie will be welcoming ‘Straight Outta Covid,’ a professional stand-up comedy event to be held at The Tech Complex on Wellington Street East beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 2.

The event includes four Toronto comedians, including host Cedric Newman, headliner Chris Quigley and feature performers Jeff Faulkner and Evan Dubois.

“We’re bringing a show to Sault Ste. Marie that no one will want to miss. Together, the experience in the room will guarantee you barrels of laughter,” said Toronto-based Julie Walker, event co-ordinator in a release.

“COVID has been the longest March Break ever, and I think we all need to laugh,” Walker said.

Chris Quigley has performed at many clubs, festivals, private events and corporate functions across Canada.

Jeff Faulkner’s brand of comedy is described as ‘road rage on stage.’

Evan Dubois is billed as a witty 21-year-old with a guitar, sharing humorous stories, observations and songs.

Host Cedric Newman is considered a passionate and versatile comedian, having performed across Canada and throughout Europe.

He is seen as a mentor to other comedians and has released both an EP and LP of his comedy.

Tickets are $25 each and are available at Booster Juice at 710 Second Line East or by calling 705 992-5035.
