RICHARDS LANDING – The Richards Landing Old Town Hall is going old-school country this Friday evening with a concert by Zachary Lucky.

For more than 10 years, Lucky has been building a name for himself on Canadian and international stages, performing hundreds of shows.

Touring his latest studio album, "The Wind", Lucky is unapologetically old-school country, armed with a husky, baritone voice and "singing of Canadian places and people", according to a release from the Township of St. Joseph.

"His music conjures universal feelings that have passed through our collective timelines and he has been hailed as a master storyteller by outlets ranging from No Depression to The Globe and Mail."

He has performed at festivals such as the Regina Folk Festival, Dawson City Music Festival and Mariposa Folk Festival in Canada — and at International festivals such as Wickerman (Scotland), Latitude (U.K.), the Static Roots Festival (Germany) and has three times been an official showcasing artist at Folk Alliance International.

You can learn more about Zachary Lucky at www.zacharylucky.com.

Lucky will be at the Old Town Hall in Richards Landing on Friday, Oct. 4, with tickets available for $20 at Moose Sweats or the Township Office in Richards Landing, or at the door (cash only, doors open at 7:30 p.m., concert at 8 p.m.).

The Township of St. Joseph said it presents its “Just Passing Through Concert Series” throughout the year giving touring musicians a place to play and a place to stay in order to bring live music to its beautiful Old Town Hall in Richards Landing on St. Joseph Island.
