An upcoming event will discuss the history of medicine in Sault Ste. Marie.
Co-presenters Dr. Gene Turgeon and Constance Manitowabi will talk about medical practices, both Indigenous and British/European.
“Samples of the four sacred medicines of the Anishinaabe will be shown along with other artifacts,” said the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library in a news release.
The discussion takes place on Tuesday November 26 at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library.
Registration is required for the free event.
