ALGOMA TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE GROUP
***********************
AlgomaTrad: The Algoma Traditional Music and Dance Group, is hosting a benefit ceili dance and fundraiser for Sandra Hodge, an artist and artistic director of Clay it Forward, a community arts program that introduces participants to the medium of ceramics and fosters an environment of exploration and giving.

The funds will help Sandra cover the costs of medical treatment that will occur out of country (More info about the treatment and fundraising campaign is here). The fundraiser will occur at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 96 Great Northern Rd., Sault Ste Marie, Friday, Dec. 8, 7:30 p.m.

Music will be provided by local trad/celtic family band The O’Schraves and friends. A dance caller will be on hand to lead folks through simple and fun dances. Several of Sandra’s friends, including Mark Dunn, Ellen Van Laar and others will also sing a few songs in Sandra’s honour.

There will also be a silent auction – donations of preferably handmade, recycled, and repurposed items and/or services will be gratefully accepted. Please call 705-257-6106 for more info. Items can be dropped off at the Legion Hall from 3 p.m. onward on Friday, Dec. 8.

All are welcome to this family friendly event.
