Comedy kings JibJab and "Weird Al" Yankovic break new ground with video parody of American Idol winner

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA - JibJab, a leading digital comedy network, and "Weird Al" Yankovic, the long-reigning king of music parody, have released an online-only video parodying American Idol winner Taylor Hicks' song, "Do I Make You Proud."

The parody, entitled "Do I Creep You Out," is from Weird Al's latest best-selling album Straight Outta Lynwood, and the video features a forlorn stalker (played in classic JibJab style by Weird Al) chasing the woman of his dreams.

The video can be seen for free on both JibJab.com and MSNVideo.com.

A collaborative effort, JibJab was responsible for creating the animation while Weird Al provided the lyrics and music.

The partnership is an example of how artists are leveraging the power of the Internet to promote and distribute next generation entertainment.

With the massive reach of the MSN Video network and JibJab.com, the results of the JibJab-Weird Al partnership are available for free to a worldwide audience at the click of a mouse.

The collaboration was also initiated in true Internet-age fashion – they teamed up after the JibJab brothers, Gregg and Evan Spiridellis, sent Al an email via his Web site expressing a desire to work together.

"Do I Creep You Out" is the third of five animated shorts appearing exclusively on MSN Video.

In October 2005, MSN inked a deal with JibJab to co-distribute its next five animations on MSN Video.
