The Chamber Singers are presenting a Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec. 21 at Precious Blood Cathedral at 7:30 p.m.
The program starts with a Gregorian Chant setting of the Christmas Introit, followed by Pettman's Angel Gabriel, Ave Verum by Canadian composer Stephanie Martin and Gartshore's arrangements of Silent Night and Away in a Manger, sung by choir and audience.
Special guest is Harpist Karen Hughes Beacom. She will accompany the choir in three choruses from Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols and Hodie Christus Natus Est, a dynamic composition by another Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy.
Pianist Anthony Aceti will accompany the women's chorus for the well-known tune of In Dulci Jubilo (Good Christian Men Rejoice).
The men's chorus will be featured in Healey Willan's Magnificat.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students, available at Savoy's Jewellers and at the door.
