Blue Rodeo plays to a packed pavilion

The Canadian alt-country legends last played Sault Ste. Marie in 2010

Blue Rodeo returned to Sault Ste. Marie for the first time since 2010, performing for a near-sold out audience at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion last night.

The setlist was the perfect balance of Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor compositions, including Diamond Mine, What Am I Doing Here, How Long, 5 Days in May, The Railroad, and Til I Am Myself Again.

As the band played the opening bars of Hasn't Hit Me Yet, Keelor and Cuddy allowed the enthusiastic crowd to take over the vocals for a verse to close out the set. A brief power outage during the encore, which included Try and Lost Together, did little to dull the experience.

Sam Polley and the Old Tomorrows – who happens to be Jim Cuddy's son – opened the concert and likely gained more than a few new fans. The crowd was on its feet as the band left the stage.

Blue Rodeo has a number of our dates across Canada upcoming, including those in Mattawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. To learn more, visit the band's website.
