In Your Eyes Projects invites you to attend auditions for God of Carnage, the brutally entertaining and hilarious Triple Tony Award winning play by Yasmina Reza.
About the playwright
Yasmina Reza has been called "a born satirist".
Her works have been translated into more than thirty languages and include “Art” and God of Carnage, both winners of the Tony Award for Best Original Play.
The film adaptation of the latter, Carnage, was directed by Roman Polanski in 2011 starring Christoph Walz, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslett and John C. Reilly.
Reza originally trained as an actress (at the renowned Ecole internationale de theatre Jacques Lecoq) and has claimed that this background has informed her writing.
Says playwright David Ives of Reza's work: "Half the reason her plays get done is because actors want to do them… there's a crackling surface there for a performer."
