Superior Heights Collegiate students will be presenting AMPED UP! — the school’s first student-run musical talent show — in the school’s cafeteria at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23.

“This event is entirely student-run and gives them an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent, creativity, and hard work to a wider audience," stated Sarah Cormier, a Superior Heights French Immersion history teacher and rock band coach in a release.

“This musical event is an excellent platform for our students to express themselves through music and also raises awareness about the importance of music education. We are incredibly proud of all our students and look forward to seeing them perform on May 23rd," Cormier said.

Admission to the show is free but guests are encouraged to donate what they can to support the Superior Heights music department’s ongoing endeavours.

Concert goers can also enjoy tea and coffee for a small fee.

"As a student, it's been an incredible experience to lead the organization of the AMPED UP! musical talent show at Superior Heights. Our goal is to showcase the immense musical talent that exists within our school community and bring people together through music," said student Jordan McCrank.

“We hope to see everyone there to support our school's music department and enjoy an evening of fantastic music," he added.

The evening will feature music from a variety of genres, the release stated.
