Algoma University is hosting Echoes, an exhibition of works by 16 artists in the Visual Art program.
First to third-year students will be exhibiting their artwork showcasing their diverse backgrounds, experiences and artistic styles, the university said in a release.
"Just as sounds echo throughout spaces, experiences reverberate over time and impact the creative output of artists," Algoma U said.
The exhibition features works that explore materials, storytelling, identity, memory, and place.
"From traditional painting and sculpture to digital media and printmaking, Echoes offers a diverse and thought-provoking experience for all."
An opening reception will take place this Saturday, March 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sault Museum, 690 Queen St. E.
The exhibit will be on display until March 30.
Artworks on display are from students currently enrolled in the Group Exhibition and Professional Practices course.
Admission to the opening reception is free.
