Algoma Conservatory unveils lineup of 20 mixed-genre concerts

Algoma Conservatory Concerts has announced their 2024-25 Concert Season which promises 20 mixed-genre concerts beginning in September and continuing through April. 

"This is the 33rd year of the series, which has been greatly expanded with concerts from a variety of genres," the conservatory said in a release. 

"They include outstanding Canadian and International touring soloists and ensembles, many with major awards including Junos, Grammys and winners of international music competitions.

"All concerts are held in The Loft at the Algoma Conservatory - a new 200-seat venue with outstanding acoustics."

Both single tickets and flexible season subscriptions are offered. 

Concert-goers can build their own series from 5 to 20 concerts, and the larger the series the greater the savings. 

The conservatory said many concerts sold-out last season so a subscription is recommended, and subscribers then have the flexibility to change concerts – or to add additional concerts with considerable savings.

"Subscribers are in control to design their own series, and with 20 concerts to choose from multiple genres it can be: A Seasonal Festival, a Classical Series, a Mixed Genre Series, a Jazz and Blues Series or a Singer/songwriter Series. With a subscription the cost for all of the concerts is less than traveling toToronto or New York to see a single event."
