Algoma Arts Society's 6x6-inch charity sale thinking big

Members' small, unique paintings selling for $20 each to support hospice, museum

Some small but mighty artworks are up for grabs into next month to raise funds for two important local institutions.

The Algoma Arts Society is holding its 2nd annual 6x6 Charity Art Sale until Nov. 22, with proceeds benefiting ARCH Hospice and the Sault Ste. Marie Museum.

"This special event features unique 6x6-inch paintings, all created by members of the Algoma Arts Society," the group said in a release. "All artwork is selling for the incredible price of $20 apiece."

  • Date: Now to Nov. 22
  • Time: Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Location: Sault Ste. Marie Museum, Queen and East streets
  • Admission: Free entry; artwork available for purchase

"The event will showcase a variety of original works, providing an excellent opportunity for the community to support local artists while contributing to two important causes," the art society said.

All proceeds from the sale of artwork will go directly to the hospice and the museum.
