NEWS RELEASE

ALGOMA ARTS FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION

*************************
The Algoma Arts Festival Association is pleased to bring to Sault Ste. Marie two incredible opportunities for acting growth and development!

On Sunday, Oct. 15, Robin Duke, former writer and performer on NBC's Saturday Night Live and dress shop owner Wendy Kurtz in the hit Canadian television sitcom Schitt's Creek, will provide what promises to be an entertaining and educational two-hour workshop. She will share her knowledge as a seasoned improvisational artist and comedy writer, challenging local participants to build their confidence and skills.

Award-winning SOULO Theatre Company is bringing your life to the stage with a hands on public reading workshop. Over three days from Oct. 20-22, Tracey Erin Smith, founder of Toronto’s SOULO Theatre Company, will be teaching how to turn your life stories into solo theatre. Participants share their stories, and hear the stories of others all while learning how to tell a compelling and entertaining story.

Discover the themes in your life, and walk away with more confidence and a greater sense of belonging. Because of the uniqueness and intensity of this opportunity limited space is available.

“We’re extremely honoured to bring these workshops to Sault Ste. Marie for our community to benefit from,” said Rosetta Sicoli, festival president.

To register, and for more information call the Festival Office at 705-949-0822 or email us at [email protected].
