5 Car Draw returns this year with over $313,000 in prizes

The Sault Area Hospital Foundation 5 Car Draw returns for its 33rd year with  $313,718 in prizes.

The top prize of this year include Ford F150 Lightning, a Chevy Silverado ZR2 or $90,000 cash, according to Sault Area Hospital Foundation.

All proceeds from the draw will help to purchase medical equipment for Sault Area Hospital. 

Ticket sales for the grand prize draw close at 2 p.m. on June 17.

Returning for the 33rd year, the Sault Area Hospital Foundation 5 Car Draw is back, and it's bigger than ever! With $313,718 in prizes this year, packages include some of the best vehicles offered to date. There is sure to be a car, truck, or SUV for everyone in the 2023 draw or an attractive cash prize. The top prize this year provides the winner with a choice of a Ford F150 Lightning, a Chevy Silverado ZR2 or $90,000 cash. Tickets are available now, and full prize packages can be seen at 5car.ca. 

Since its inception in 1989, 5 Car Draw has raised over $5 million to support local healthcare. As the biggest single fundraiser for the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, the proceeds of this draw continue to fund the purchase of medical equipment at Sault Area Hospital. 

"We are so thrilled about this year’s lineup of vehicles,” said Teresa Martone, executive director of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation. “We’ve made sure to include exciting trucks, SUVs, and cars – and for the first time ever, we have been able to include both electric and hybrid vehicles. If the cars aren’t attractive enough, each grand prize also has a cash option ranging from $20,000 to $90,000. All proceeds help make outstanding local care possible at Sault Area Hospital – our whole community wins when supporting 5 Car Draw!” 

Not only will your ticket give you a chance to win five amazing grand prizes - early purchasers will be rewarded with two more chances to win: 

• Purchase before 2 p.m. on May 10 to be eligible for the first Early Bird Draw: a chance to win $5,000 in gas gift cards from McDougall Fuels and $10,000 cash. 
• Purchase before 7 p.m. on June 16 for a chance at a special Car Show VIP draw: a chance at $5,000 cash provided by Pino’s Get Fresh. This draw will be announced live on the Friday evening of the Queen Street Cruise! 

Ticket sales for the grand prize draw close at 2 p.m. on June 17, with the draw held at 3 p.m. live on location at the Queen Street Cruise – under the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. 

5 Car Draw ticket options include one ticket for $25, three tickets for $70, and 5 tickets for $100. In addition to online sales at 5car.ca, tickets can be purchased in person at the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Office (750 Great Northern Rd.) from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday. Following purchaser feedback from last year, SAHF’s monthly 50/50 draw will continue separately from the 5 Car Draw this year. Tickets for the monthly 50/50 draw, with average monthly jackpots of $100,000, are still available at soolottery.ca.
