A popular downtown spot for ice cream goers has officially been sold.
After operating at 810 Queen Street East for the past seven years, the owners of Elliott’s Ice Cream & Creperie have decided to move on from the business.
But there’s good news for their loyal customers.
According to outgoing owners Jamie and Tina Elliott, it appears the signature ice cream is at least here to stay — but will be operated in a different location under new ownership.
The couple took to Facebook earlier today to announce the sale was final, just two weeks after they initially let their customers know the shop was on the market.
It is currently unknown who purchased the business.
"We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our loyal customers from over the past 7 years," the owners wrote on Facebook. "It has truly been a joy to have you visit our business and enjoy our many ice cream creations!"
Specializing in all sorts of fancy cakes, cones, and crepes, Elliott’s proudly made their products fresh and right in-house.
The cream from their menu items actually came straight from northern Ontario dairy producers, while other ingredients like fruits, maple syrup, and honey were all local.
SooToday has reached out to the Elliott family for more information on the sale.
