It’s been one full year since you got your wings your sweet angel.
How can 10 years be not nearly enough and yet one year can be so painfully long.
We have endured a heartbreaking year of firsts, our first Christmas without you, the first year with no cake for your birthday, our first summer without you.
The sky doesn’t look blue anymore the grass doesn’t look as green.
Every breath we take is shallow and tight and our feet are weighted with grieve.
The road seems so long and lonely. As our tears sting our eyes yet again we wonder how we will ever finish our journey without you and it is within these moments that you appear to remind us that you are not that far away. We know we must remain patient as our time will come when we all meet again..
We love and miss you our sweet Maija.
