Peacefully at the Stanford Place, Parksville, BC, on Monday November 27, 2014 in her 92nd year. Wife of late August. Loving mother of Gary, Denise Hinton and August, dear grandmother of Nicole (Malcolm) Knowles, late Michelle, and Ryland Lavergne, great grandma to Jacob, Natalie and Victoria Knowles.
Daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Heaney. Dear sister of late Catherine Hamilton (late Fred), late Ellen Thompson (late George), Peter Heaney (late Rita), late Gerard Heaney (Julia), late Patrick Heaney (Darlene) and Fred Heaney (late Ann) (Marian).
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass was celebrated on December 1, 2017 at St. Peters Catholic Church, Nanaimo, BC, where Gerry was honoured as a longtime member of the Catholic Women’s League.
Memorial donations to a local Soup Kitchen in Gerry’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
