I remember the day I met you, (at the roller skating rink),
And the day that you became mine, (Jan. 30, 1970,
I remember the day l lost you, (July 23rd, 2009),
And I will ‘til the end of time
The moment that you passed,
My heart was split in two,
The one side filled with memories.
The other died with you.
If ever two hearts were meant to be joined,
If ever two souls shared a common destiny,
If ever two lives were meant to travel one road,
They were ours.
Thank you for being the love of my life,
The wonderful one I adored
The person who shared
All my dreams and desires,
My plans, my adventures and more.
Thank you for being my partner in life,
And for filling my heart with pride.
I love you my wonderful husband,
You will always be by my side.
You left me with our two wonderful children who have grown up to be great adults.
