Light snow tapers to flurries in the afternoon and snowfall accumulations of 2-5 cm are possible.
Mostly cloudy skies begin to clear in the evening and high temperatures reach -9C in the early afternoon but a brisk northerly wind will keep windchills near -17.
Temperatures drop sharply into the -20s overnight.
