Charles has an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Law degree from Queen’s University. He joined Oatley Vigmond as an articling student in 2015, before returning as an associate the following year. He was called to the Bar in June 2016.
For Charles, the practice of law is about providing a client-focused service. In particular, the practice of personal injury law allows him to serve and empower individuals to overcome some of the most challenging times of their lives. His devotion to service is what motivates him to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients.
During his spare time, Charles enjoys staying active, watching sporting events and chasing his wheaten terrier around. Charles also speaks Korean fluently.
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
During law school, Charles was a volunteer caseworker for Pro Bono Students Canada and conducted a wide range of legal research and statute interpretation while working with a local health and wellness organization. He also had the opportunity to volunteer as a caseworker for the community Legal Aid Clinic where he gained valuable skills in litigation and advocacy. Lastly, Charles volunteered as a caseworker for the Queen’s Business Law Clinic where he developed valuable client management skills.
Charles is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Advocates’ Society and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
