As a Health & Safety Specialist with over 20 years’ experience in Occupational Safety, Shannan is passionate about fostering a positive culture and believes with training and mentoring, all employees can improve their own personal safety and increase their hazard awareness. She has worked in both the private sector in Safety Management and the public sector as a Health and Safety Consultant Trainer within the prevention system of Ontario. As a generalist, she spends her time in the areas of Risk Management, Auditing, Program Development and Training. She is known for her ability to engage creativity within a group, she is very resourceful and values a good challenge when looking for solutions. As an active volunteer with WSPS she assists with planning of local Partners in Prevention Conferences and Events and is proud to call Northern Ontario home. She has worked with many organizations and communities in both Provincial and Federal Jurisdictions to help them identify areas of opportunity to progress their program to an integrated health and safety management system. Shannan looks forward to utilizing her knowledge and experience paired with the collaboration of the dynamic and supportive team at Norpro to continue to make workplaces safer.
