Debbie Jo has been a licensed funeral director with Arthur Funeral Home Barton & Kiteley Chapel for over 30 years. A lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie, she is married and she and her husband have raised 3 amazing children. She is also "Mom" to her 2 rescue cats, Willow and Rupert, and their newest rescue, “Bear,” an 8 year old German shepherd.
Having been taught the importance of giving back to her community, Debbie is part of the Sault’s KFM 106.5 Christian radio team, the Veterans Commemorative Monument Committee and served on the Board of Crimestoppers for many years. Passionate about sport, Debbie Jo still plays slo-pitch and has been involved with the Sault Ringette Club for more than 20 years, having served as president, Regional and Provincial committee member, and chair of Regional, Provincial and National events. Calling Bethel Bible Chapel her church home, Debbie Jo volunteers at Camp ABK (Aush-Bik-Koong) in the summer and facilitates a cooking class at Connect 4 each fall and winter.
In her spare time she loves to travel with her husband, spend time with her family, read and cook.
