Resolution Room Inc.

My Story
I was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, where myself and my husband Paul are now raising our own children. Paul and I founded a Registered Charity named "Kayge Fighters Against DIPG Foundation" and a Not-For-Profit called "Kayge Fighters Foundation" both in 2018, to help other families who are going through the same terminal Childhood Cancer diagnosis called "Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG)" that ultimately took our son Kayge at the age of 6 in 2019.

I received my B.A., from Algoma University in 2008, and a Law Clerk Diploma from Northern College in 2018 with Honours. I then went on to receive my Accreditation through Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) in 2020 and my accreditation for Child Protection Mediation in 2021. I completed my training through the George Hull Centre for Family Group Conferencing in 2022. I am a strong advocate for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and I practice in the North and across Ontario. I pride myself in working with families through separation and divorce, and I have a strong passion for developing new approaches to dealing with conflict while ensuring the safety and well-being of families and children. I became a Registered Social Worker graduating from Algoma University – School of Social Work in 2023, with a lens to applying Indigenous-based practices and strength-based approaches to social services. Most recently I became accredited through Triple P Canada as a Triple P - Level 5 Family Transitions Facilitator in June of 2024.

I currently work for various companies across the province including Thunder Bay Counselling, Community Counselling Center of Nippissing, Peel Family Mediation Services, Children's Community Network, Family Services Ottawa and I'm also a Mediation Coach at York University. In addition, I am running my private practice, Resolution Room Inc.

My hope is to bridge some of the gaps that clients have brought forward over the years. Through the Resolution Room Inc. I hope to continue adding services over the next few years to assist families in our community and surrounding area with conflict resolution, counselling, and a variety of other services in one place at more affordable prices and less wait times.
