Another six people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the region says Algoma Pubic Health.

This brings the total of active cases to 14 and the total number of positive cases since March to 76.

Two cases were linked to an unknown exposure, meaning the people did not have any recent international travel or close contact with a known confirmed case.

One of those cases was tested Dec. 29, while the other was tested Dec. 27.

Four of the cases acquired their infection from close contact with someone known to have COVID-19.

All four of these cases were tested Jan. 1.

All six are self-isolating.

Five new cases were reported yesterday as the province continues to be under lockdown.
