The Elliot Lake Family Health Team has received confirmation of a third local resident testing positive for COVID-19 after close contact with a previous case.
At this time, we would like to remind all city residents to:
Stay home.
- No trips to surrounding communities, especially larger cities like Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie.
- No outings to stores just to fend off boredom.
- Only go out for groceries and essentials and limit this to once a week if possible.
Keep your distance from others.
- Stay at least two-meters from others when you must go out.
- No gatherings of more than 5 people.
No guests.
- Encourage friends and family from our community and other communities to remain at home and not visit you.

Our office continues to communicate with Algoma Public Health and St. Joseph’s General Hospital to ensure our city residents are informed and reassured that we are working together to manage each instance effectively.
