As Ontario's long-term care minister announced that the province would be allowing indoor visits as of July 22, Public Health Ontario is reporting 102 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today.

This is the lowest number of new cases reported in a day since March 25, when testing was also much lower.

Here in the Sault, Algoma Public Health (APH) reported another new case of the novel coronavirus this afternoon.

The new case is the only active case that the health unit is aware of, and it comes less than a week after the 25th case was reported.

There are currently almost 1,450 pending cases in Algoma.

She says indoor visits, which are currently limited to essential workers and families of palliative patients, will be permitted as of July 22, with a two-person limit.
