COVID-19: Here's the situation in the Sault today

All COVID-19 cases in Algoma District now resolved

In provincial news, Public Health Ontario is reporting 326 new cases of COVID-19 today, which is an increase of 1.2 per cent to the total number of cases confirmed in the province to date. 

In local news, Algoma Public Health reports that all 21 known cases of COVID-19 in the Algoma District have been resolved as of Sunday morning.

  • 7,395 tested
  • 21 positive
  • 6,756 negative
  • 618 pending
  • 0 deceased
  • 21 resolved

Total confirmed cases by area of residence: 

  • 17 in Sault Ste. Marie and area, with evidence of community spread
  • 1 in central and east Algoma
  • 3 in Elliot Lake and area
  • 0 in north Algoma
