Algoma Public Health is reporting one new COVID-19 case from the Central and East Algoma region.
Case number 195, tested on Feb. 16, is in the close contact exposure category. The person is currently self-isolating.
Close contact means the person acquired their infection through close contact with a known confirmed case.
There are currently seven active cases in the Algoma region, with two currently hospitalized.
