Algoma Public Health has confirmed a new COVID-19 case in the Algoma district.
The person was tested Wednesday and is currently self-isolating.
APH has determined the exposure category to be international travel.
It's the 47th COVID case reported in the region.
In a release, APH noted that close contacts have been notified and "if you are not contacted by Algoma Public Health, you are not considered a close contact."
