We all know that even (especially?) when it's cold, Saultites can find plenty to do outdoors.
Apparently that's nothing new.
The Sault Ste. Marie Musuem dug these photos out of its archive to demonstrate how people spent their leisure time a century or so ago.
They skated on the river (pictured above) and tobogganed in the slide on Pine St. (as seen left) and another located on Bruce St.
