About The Oakville Art Collective
The Oakville Art Collective is more than just a group of artists—it's a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and connection. This collective began as a gathering of enthusiastic learners attending Adult Art Studio sessions at the Oakville Arts Studio, guided by the talented artist and educator, Ixchel Suarez. Today our Co-Artistic Director at Laureate College.

Over time, what began as a group of strangers evolved into a tight-knit community. Despite challenges like the closure of their studio during the COVID-19 pandemic, the collective persevered. They transitioned to online sessions under Ixchel’s new venture, Oak Heights Art Studios, and found innovative ways to continue creating together. Summers brought the joy of plein air painting, and through these shared experiences, the group forged deep friendships.

The Oakville Art Collective is now a vibrant support network where members inspire one another, share their joys and challenges, and grow together as artists. This exhibition reflects their shared journey, showcasing the beauty of collaboration and the unique perspectives that each artist brings to their work. This group now found a great place to meet every week at our College every Thursday between 10 am and 12:30 pm, guided by Ixchel Suarez.

We welcome everyone to experience the creativity, resilience, and camaraderie that defines this incredible collective. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in their inspiring art and stories.

We can’t wait to see you there!
