GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:
Load/ Secure Heavy Equipment to the float trailer.
Operate multiple tractor trailer combinations in a safe and appropriate manner.
Keep legal log book and all required records (i.e. Pre-trip inspections).
Comply with all applicable legislation and bylaws
Receive and relay information as required.
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program.
Other related duties as required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Education and Experience. Driving experience: minimum 2 years.
Driver's License (Class A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Must have a good driver abstract.
Ensure and display a detailed and thorough understanding of the National Safety Code, including but not limited to permitting, hours of service, weights and measurements and load securement.
Must be punctual and able to communicate effectively with fellow employees in a professional and personable manner.
Must be able to work under pressure in some situations
Must be willing to support and abide by the company's safety policies and initiatives.
