Real Estate Law Clerk
Skeggs Paciocco Lawyers LLP is a leading full-service law firm based in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, specializing in real estate, wills, estate planning and administration, business law, family law, personal injury and civil litigation. We are currently seeking an experienced real estate law clerk to join our real estate practice on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in real estate, a keen eye for detail and share our commitment to excellence, integrity and client-focused advocacy.
Primary Duties Include:
• Assisting with real estate matters from client intake to completion.
• Preparation of all documentation for residential and commercial real estate transactions including sales, purchases, and mortgages.
• Managing the client relationship, including interacting with clients, scheduling appointments and responding to client inquiries.
• Managing, prioritizing and responding to incoming calls and correspondence.
• Opening and closing files, drafting real estate related reports and accounts.
• Providing general administrative assistance as required.
Required Skill Set:
• Experience as a real estate law clerk is required.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Familiarity with Teraview and Unity.
• Punctual, responsible, and reliable.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional representation of the firm.
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and independently.
Additional Details:
• Compensation: Very competitive salary along with bonus and other perks.
• Vacation: Minimum of 3 weeks.
• Regular Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including 1 hour and 15-minute lunch break.
• Work Location: On-site (819 Queen Street East, Sault Ste. Marie).
• Onsite Dress Code: Corporate or business casual.
• Education: Post Secondary Diploma or Certificate in law clerk/legal assistant studies or related field considered an asset but is not required.
• Preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a real estate law clerk or legal assistant.
