PRIMARY PURPOSE:
• Keep the mill legal by adhering to regulations set out by TSSA.
• Manage all TFH Operators in compliance with TSSA and
Arauco job expectations
• Provide support to maintenance/planning for TFH.
• Assuming some responsibilities of Zone Maintenance for the
TFH area.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Responsible for managing workload (Pm’s, Safety WO, Lube)
for TFH operators.
• Provide shutdown and start up support for outages
• Support Hog Fuel management.
• Participate in energy initiatives led by Energy Manager.
• TFH Planning lead/contact for shutdowns
• Participate in down days and planning support for such
• Daily prep for 10am in TFH.
• Provide training to TFH operators
KEY EXPECTATIONS SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONAL

STRUCTURE:
• Leads by example and works with others to ensure area
goals, personal action plans are met
• Promotes cross-training and operate and maintain through
personal leadership and coaching of others.
• Participates in 11am control room meetings for Technician
staff.
• Coach operators one on one

KEY SAFETY/HOUSEKEEPING REPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads safety orientations for all staff in TFH area.
• Implements and maintains safe work practices for areas
owned.
• Owns TFH manual for accuracy.
• Must be personal lockout certified for TFH/Refining and
Drying areas. Responsible for ensuring direct reports to get
lockout certified.
• Lockout Certifier for your areas
• Safety will always be a consideration when planning any events or completing tasks.
• Leads housekeeping in TFH/Dryer/Lump separator and Hog
areas. This will help to promote a safe and professional work
environment.
• Audits lockout boards. Encourages the use of Lasers.
• Owns operational blow down for area and works to reduce
fugitive fiber.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
• TFH Chemical Budget.
• Any contractor costs associated with Operational work in your
area.
• Manages overtime costs for TFH operations

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Operating engineer 2nd class provincial certificate.
• Extensive knowledge of equipment in TFH/Refining/ Lump
separator and Dryer rooms.
