The Algoma District School Board invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Classroom Support Analyst.

Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor of Information Technology, the Classroom Support Analyst provides remote and onsite technical assistance related to entry-level hardware or software issues that students and staff are experiencing. This position is based in Sault Ste. Marie and provides support to schools in Chapleau, Hornepayne and Wawa.

Key Responsibilities
• Records, tracks, assesses and documents ADSB support tickets assigned through HelpDesk application or received by phone, including all courses of action taken during resolution attempts
• Assists with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to ADSB hardware and software
• Assists with advanced deployment tasks as assigned by Supervisor of Information Technology and Manager of Information Technology
• Provides back up and assistance to cross-department staff as required or directed
• Collaborates with team members within the Information Technology Department to help solve technology issues that arise

Qualifications
• Candidates will possess a post-secondary diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Two years’ experience of Information Technology technical support
• Experience with networking, programming, hardware and software
• Candidates should possess excellent problem solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have demonstrated analytical skills

This permanent position works 35 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or as otherwise determined by the Board to meet operation needs. The position is based within Sault Ste. Marie, with regular travel required to schools in Wawa, Chapleau and Hornepayne.
