We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Finance Systems & Insights Specialist to conduct analysis and research, quality assurance, testing, maintenance, continuous improvement, end-user and technical support of finance applications, systems and reporting solutions to enable operations and reporting/analysis capabilities as per the divisions business objectives.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director, Finance Systems & Insights, you will be empowered to:
Provide end-user support related to Finance systems and reporting/analysis solutions, troubleshooting and issue resolution, issue escalation and monitoring for swift resolution in collaboration with our technology partners or 3rd party vendor teams.
Provide support to end-users in solving functional business system issues or reporting/analysis related problems including defining requirements related to new or changing business needs.
Data management and related solutions lifecycle support (e.g., design, configurations, integrations, extracts, transformations, loads, etc.), including preparation and management of related templates/artifacts and workflows for solution implementations.
Support projects related to finance business requirements by assisting with technology requirements gathering as required that enables successfully change management.
Conduct user acceptance testing of financial systems and reporting/analysis solutions to verify completeness of business requirements and adherence to scope of projects.
Collaborate with all key business and technology stakeholders and 3rd party vendor teams to rollout new or changing Finance system initiatives and reporting/analysis solutions.
Create, maintain, and update artifacts and documentation related to finance systems and related reporting/analysis solutions to ensure relevance, completeness, security, and integrity.
Support implementation of IT user access management (UAM) processes including monitoring of user security profiles to ensure accurate access is provisioned and reviewed for OLG Finance and related systems.
Support management of new or changing end user roles related to Finance systems access profiles in coordination with IT including assignment, maintenance, monitoring and resolving end user access issues or workflows.
Support lifecycle management of business systems, technology-related Finance initiatives, and reporting/analysis solutions.
Develop and maintain training documentation, systems manuals, job aids and provide end-user training and act as the finance systems team representative on process workshop, projects and change requests as assigned.
Assist in assessing the needs of the division, identifying changes in applications, reporting/analysis solutions, and/or processes to meet the divisions needs and partner with IT for the implementation of new initiatives, enhancements, upgrades, etc.
Act as a liaison between internal users, IT, and 3rd party vendors to ensure users updated on new or changing functionalities and convey challenges and performance issues to systems teams.
Proactively review system and application performance to identify opportunities for improvements and evaluate alternatives to submit recommendations to Managers/3rd party vendors.
Stay abreast of industry-leading finance and reporting/analysis methodologies, best practices, and trends, evaluate opportunities applicable for OLG and submit actionable recommendations to management to facilitate continuous improvement.
Collect and analyze data related to process improvement/lean KPIs to evaluate the success of these initiatives and help guide the planning for future initiatives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: 3 years of experience in implementation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of finance/business applications and related reporting and analysis solutions. Experience in database management and configuration, data migration, and ETL. Experience in finance domain or finance transformation projects.
Education: University degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information technology, or related disciplines. Professional accounting or finance designation –or equivalent experience. Excellent knowledge of finance organizations and structures, finance software, reporting & analytics solutions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
