Sault Ste. Marie police charged a 28-year-old woman with assault after she attempted to break into a vehicle, a new release said.
On Nov. 30 police responded to reports around 2 p.m. that a person was trying to break into a vehicle in the 200 block of McNabb Street.
An individual had attempted to stop the woman prior to police arrival and she kicked the person, according to the release.
Officers in patrol services charged Megan Laird with assault.
She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 30.
