A 29-year-old has been charged with assault with a weapon after Sault Police responded to a report Oct. 12 around 12:30 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Queen Street East, where a person said they were struck several times with a large metal cup by a person they know.
Alexandra Bright is charged with one count of assault with a weapon, and remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
The allegation has not been tested in court and Bright is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
