Woman accused of threatening 14-year-old with release of nude photos

On Apr. 12, 2017 officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25-year-old Emily Murphy, of Central Creek Drive, for offences relating to the intimidation of a justice system participant.

It is alleged that the accused sent messages to a 14-year-old female that is known to her via the Internet. The messages included nude photographs of the 14-year-old victim. 

In the messages the accused [is alleged to have] threatened to further distribute the photographs if the victim continued to testify in other proceedings that are currently before the courts.

The accused was arrested on Apr. 12, 2017 and charged with one count of possession of child pornography, one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of intimidation of a justice system participant.  She will appear in bail court today.
